According to legend, the first axe throwing competitions were held by the frontiersmen in North America. Though there have also been reports of axe throwing competitions amongst the Celtic tribes. Indoor Axe Throwing is a unique and exciting activity that was brought into existence in 2006 in the backwoods of Ontario, Canada.. Since then, it has exploded into a sport that is making waves on the international stage. Yes, you read that correctly, Axe Throwing is an international sport! How does one become a professional Axe Thrower? Well there are few ways to break into this sport! Whether you just want to be a casual thrower, a serious professional, or you have a group of friends looking for a fun night out; our Splitting Target Axe coaches will give you the knowledge you need to become a professional in your own right!
WHAT CAN I EXPECT
FROM MY AXE-PERIENCE?
Your axe throwing experience will start with a check-in upon entering Splitting Targets, followed by signing our safety/liability waiver. You will then make you way to our new indoor axe throwing area. All events start off with a safety tutorial and throwing instructions by our expert axe coaches. Your axe coach is with you throughout your time with us making sure you have a safe, fun and axe-citing experience. Let the games begin!
WHAT IF IT'S MY FIRST
TIME AXE-THROWING?
No worries! Our professionally trained staff will not only provide you safety training, but also give you all the tips and tricks you need to get your technique down and have you throwing bullseyes in no time! You may have come to Splitting Targets with no axe throwing experience, but you will walk out prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse!
HAVE A GROUP OF 5+ PEOPLE
Great! Regardless of the reason you are getting together, Splitting Targets is the perfect way to get out for some indoor fun! Our expert coaches will train everyone in the group on safety and technique before running through a series of tournament games and then go into an elimination style playoff tournament before crowning the ultimate champion of your group! Planning a birthday, bachelor/ette, team building experience, or another type of party?
The team at Splitting Targets will run your event for you seamlessly.
HAVE A SMALLER GROUP
Groups of 2-4 people can partake in private, hour-long sessions! During a private 1-hour session our axe coaches will spend a few minutes with each thrower in the group, training them on the art of hitting the Bullseye (over and over again). Your axe coach will remain with you throughout your visit to ensure that you're having a great time, keeping score and splitting those targets!
